There are ways to get some things for nothing. Plenty of everyday lifestyle essentials are free - medical, music, makeup, meals, entertainment, and education.

Many popular businesses offer freebies. To get them requires participation from both the company and the consumer. Media sources, businesses’ websites, or businesses directly will list qualifying terms for free offers.

Free Meals and Entertainment

Family businesses such as IHOP, Lone Star Steak House, Roadhouse, Old Country Buffet and Country Kitchen will offer free kids meals during the week. Nightclubs do the same by offering free ladies' night or no cover nights to keep the patrons coming. Fast food or pizza restaurant managers, if informed a mistake was made, may end up giving a complimentary free meal, that could mean an extra pizza for the family.

Memberships or admission to art museums, amusement parks, and entertainment sports arenas can offer free admission to kids under 2 and sometimes up to four years of age.

Free Medical, Modeling, Makeup and Home Improvement

Massage and beauty schools on occasion offer free services at the end of their school semester, as students will need to practice on real people and earn service hours. Many back and body care specialty stores will have demonstration models. Free open house events offer chances to win free services or food. Home improvement services offer free potential job estimates.

Yellow pages are filled with ads for lawyers and chiropractors offering free first time consultations and seminars. Doctors may provide free samples of prescriptions because pharmaceutical reps will leave a variety of the latest on the market.

Dentists hand out a free toothbrush, floss, and mouthwash sample after a checkup. Some may offer a free cleaning and first initial evaluation. Health fairs hand out packets of free samples.

Modeling and casting agencies may offer a free evaluation/interview prior to taking on clients. Qualified beauty consultants are available to assist with seasonal styles.

At home businesses offer free party presentations involving intimate apparel, Pampered Chef, pet supplies and Partylite candles.

Go Online Anytime for Free Movies and Samples

Company websites are now offering free movies. Simply type in free online movies, or search by show or broadcast station.

Name brands of cereal, shampoo, snacks, detergent, or health product websites are the most popular types of items to get free samples of. Well known name brands have established websites that may have a small free sample ad or offers page. Dove, Pantene, Always, Kotex, Carefree, Head and Shoulder’s, Caress, Kashi are just a few. Walmart usually offers several samples a week.

Find freebies by typing "free samples" in a search field, thought it's best to stay on companies’ sites. Avoid sites that ask for an email immediately. Most reputable sites will have a "fill in format" form with all the contact information requested on one page.

Local expos, conventions, hotels, swap meets, flea markets and exhibits have display vendors with promotional giveaways. Practical items are given away such as pencils, pens, letter openers, magnets, hats, notepads, buttons, and candy – or visitors can even sign up for an entry to win a fabulous featured prize like an exotic vacation.

Local community and nationwide companies market on the idea of "free" used as a trigger word to entice consumers' interest, and it works. Consumers value "more for the money" complimentary items. Plenty of free incentives appear in all types of sources in the media. Whatever the lifestyle essential, someone may be offering it for free.
